Hey there! I’m Sabine (Sah-been-ah) Hankiewicz—your go-to birth doula, childbirth educator, and all-around birth enthusiast. If you’re feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about bringing your baby into the world, you’re in the right place.
Birth is raw, powerful, and unpredictable—but it doesn’t have to be scary. My mission? To empower you with knowledge, confidence, and unwavering support, so you can step into your birth feeling prepared, strong, and in control.
Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, a medicated birth, or something in between, I’ve got your back. Your birth, your choices—I respect and support them all. My job is to help you navigate any twists and turns along the way while keeping your vision at the center. Together, we create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.
A Little About Me
I was born in Austria in November 1983, but since 2012, I’ve called Valparaiso, Indiana home. I live here with my husband Emmitt and our two amazing kids, Jan and Anna.
I’ve been supporting birthing parents since 2017 as a DONA International Certified Birth Doula and expanded my expertise in 2023 when I became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE).
Simply put—I’m obsessed with all things pregnancy, birth, and babies! I love helping expecting parents cut through the noise, understand their options, and make informed choices that feel right for them. Whether you need evidence-based education, hands-on support, or just a voice in your corner reminding you, “You’ve got this!”, I’m here.
