Meet your Doula…

My name is Sabine (Sa-bean-ah) Hankiewicz and I was born in November 1983 in Austria, Europe. I live in Valparaiso, Indiana since August 2012 with my children Jan and Anna and my husband Emmitt.

I am a DONA international certified birth Doula and assist expecting parents in pregnancy, childbirth and immediately after since 2017.

In 2023 I’ve added the credentials “LCCE” as I’ve gained a certification as a Lamaze certified Childbirth Educator. 

Helping other people has always been a big motivation for me. I am a geek for everything that has to do with pregnancy, childbirth, babies and breastfeeding. I love working with pregnant people and their partners and to help them understand all of their options and provide them with evidence based information and support.

My goal is to create a peaceful and undisturbed environment for my clients where they can discover their inner strength, see their capabilities and emerge on the other side stronger and more empowered than ever.

As a doula I am here for my clients with all the advice and resources, they might need. I respect the choices made by birthing parents and will do my best to advocate for them and their needs.

Giving birth to a child is the most valuable and rewarding experience a person can have – The start of a new life. Birth is unpredictable and most birthing people are afraid of what might come their way. That’s where I come in.

I empower birthing parents and remind them that their body is made for the process of birth. If you want a totally unmedicated birth, a medicated birth or something in between, I am here for you. My simple goal is to provide parents with the birth experience they’ve envisioned even if there are roadblocks on the way. Together we are stronger!
